As their new space of congregation, this sanctuary building expresses a clean, nondescript house of worship. As an abstract interpretation of Noah’s Ark, with a wood planked façade, clerestory windows above, all floating over a clear glass ground floor, the building begins to express the message of a new beginning from the outside. Beyond this exterior vessel, thru the glass ground floor, passerby can glimpse at its interior, although veiled by translucent screens that represent the new found landscape. Its inner sanctuary space, invokes the arrival to a new space, full of life and light for the congregation to assemble, a space of hope.
